Ameet Kanon has returned to Sound for her first drop of the year. 

The song deals with complex relationships, and as stated in its description, "Keep it together is about accepting what is and surrendering to the moment."

Kanon is one of the artists looking to cross the boundaries of web2 and web3, a trend we've been closely following. For "Keep it Together," she ran a marketing campaign with Showtime and then dropped the song on Sound and Spotify the following day.

Behind the Music

Ameet has been a professional singer since 2015 and is an in-house artist at Showtime, a platform she used in the promotion of this song.

"Keep it Together," which originated in Paris and was later completed in LA, also features Jean Castel, making it Kanon’s first-ever duet, and third drop on Sound.

The song description sets the mood explaining how "oftentimes we try really hard to figure out why a relationship isn't working out, but the reality is that no matter how much we want answers, sometimes we just won't get them.”

“The hook, ‘I don't know why, but we just can't keep it together,’ captures that feeling very simply. This light, feel-good, ‘drive down PCH’ esque song will make you wanna dance and cry and everything in between.”

Kanon is one of the most vocal artists about crossing the boundaries between web2 and web3, not only as an artist herself but also as Head of Community at Showtime.

For "Keep it Together," she ran a pre-save campaign in which collectors received an NFT for pre-saving on Spotify or Apple Music. Collectors also got rewarded with pre-sale access to her drop on Sound.

Kanon then dropped on Sound and DSPs the day after, driving 65 mints during the primary sale and 198 pre-saves through Showtime.
