After a short hiatus, producer/songwriter Mark Evans has returned to Sound with Part 2 of his PRKBN Ambient Tape, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

This will be the 2nd out of 4 drops leading to the release of a full mixtape comprising of a bonus track along with all previous ones.

The structure of the release resembles his earlier Lo-Fi project. Mark put in the work and recorded all the songs with live instruments. It was well worth it, and the entire series sold out in the midst of a bear market.

“PRKBN02” features soft, slow-paced melodies that engulf anyone listening into a world of its own.

 With 15 years of experience under his belt, Mark has honed his skills across a variety of genres.

 Inspired by his fascination with meditation over the past year, he’s turned his attention to creating ambient music to meditate and de-stress to.

 There is no “right” way to enjoy “PRKBN02”. The song’s ethereal flow is blissful yet unobtrusive.

 Whether it’s playing in the background to complement an experience or attentively listened to, revealing all the subtle sonic nuances and textures.

 As for the eccentric name? Mark credits his cat, noting, “I was making it and she would always come lay down next to me and fall asleep so I named it after her, pork bun.”

Mark has been steadily building traction in web2 and web3 as a producer.

He’s regularly collaborating with one of the top-selling artists in web3 music, Mija. He’s produced on her sold out releases like Say It To My Face, Gravity, and Most Beautiful Song in the World.

Mark has also contributed to LNRZ – a web3 artist collective founded by Reo Cragun – with “No Matter What I Do”.

As a talented producer, he is always in demand and spends most of his time creating music for other artists. Still, he’s quietly been creating some incredible pieces of his own and has decided he’s found the right space to release some of it on Sound.

Mark has taken a bet on web3 and we’re taking a bet on Mark.
