Sara Phillips - i don't feel like dancing anymore

One of the aspects I like most about the onchain music community is everyone’s forward-thinking mindset and ability to embrace experimentation.

This comes from all parts of the ecosystem including founders, artists, operators, collectors, etc.

Recently more and more artists are thinking out of the box on both their music and strategy.

We’ve heard quite a few songs from Sara Phillips since the inception of Sound, but this time around she’s embraced the unknown and leaned into fully producing a beat for herself. And it slaps.

Sara Phillips - i don’t feel like dancing anymore

LNRZ are one of the most prominent collectives at the forefront of music NFTs. They recently dropped their genesis collection SATELLITES, which culminated from a writing camp held in Joshua Tree. Following this drop, they partnered with Kits.io to launch a remix contest using sounds from the kits.

Sara Phillips’ newest release “i don't feel like dancing anymore” is one of the winners from the competition, and rightfully so.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised to see Sara submit a remix, as she’s previously been known for her singing and songwriting. It’s hard not to be bullish on artists who try new things. Sara’s angelic vocals effortlessly float atop the crisp production that has us excited to see where she takes this new skill set.

About Sarah Phillips

Sara has been a staple on Sound as she’s been consistently dropping great music onchain. Not only that, but she’s an active member of the community who’s established herself as a leader in the space.

It’s impressive this is the first beat she’s ever made as it’s already well polished and fits her sound so perfectly. Sara highlights the lack of women producers in her Tweet above as she steps into the uncharted territory to receive praise from the community already.

The Invest in Music community voted this song to be covered by us this week, and it’s one of the top minted songs of the week.

Why Should I Care?

Sara recently shared her amazing new song “everybody knows,” in which she gave a % of royalties to one of her earliest supporters as a token of her appreciation. Since then, numerous artists have followed suit with success.

Music is always most important, but being able to experiment in this space holds a lot of weight. And Sara keeps successfully experimenting with new things.
